Build a working model of an Archimedes Screw!
Named after its inventor, the ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes of Syracuse, the Archimedes Screw is a machine that pushes water (or marbles in this case) up a slope.
Follow the illustrated instructions to assemble each of the high quality, laser-cut Birch Wood and plastic parts. Then, add the marbles.
As the crank is turned, the screw spins, carrying the marbles from the bottom to the top. Watch as they roll down the slope, around the vortex, down the ramps, and right back into the screw.
Ancient engineering becomes a fascinating D.I.Y. marble-run adventure with the Marbleocity Archimedes Screw!
